SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST Arlington, Virginia Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDANT of HQ US MARINE CORPS. Duties You will perform scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, and other scientific methods and techniques to analyze enterprise-wide challenges. You will review policies and procedures and makes comparisons to functional needs to identify problems and solutions, in order to enhance program operations You will apply standard and customized computer techniques to data collection methods and serve as an expert in developing enterprise-wide metrics, surveys, audits, and special projects. You will review, research, and benchmark emerging trends and analyze the functional impacts on systems. You will develop methods and assessments by applying expert knowledge of particular classes of problems across the range of enterprise data, policies, and systems to develop problem-solving methods specific to challenges identified by senior leaders. Education In Addition, applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: A Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research OR At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
