SOFTWARE DEVELOPER Dahlgren, Virginia Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties You will conduct Weapon Control Systems system integration efforts, including but not limited to developing software requirements and design, programming, integration, trouble shooting, and data analysis. You will provide leadership through mentoring, supporting the project software development processes and collaborating across all functional areas within the organization and among external stakeholders You will develop and write/code new (or modify existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs following software assurance best practices. You will analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. You will confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design application and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. You will correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure desired results are produced. You will modify and maintain existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Education Applicants must meet at least one of the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
