SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST Bridgeport, California Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Duties You will serve as the installation subject matter expert and program manager for assigned operational, tactical, transportation, and off-duty safety programs under the general oversight of the Safety Director. You will evaluate operational risk management plans and recommending appropriate mitigation measures. You will manage hazard abatement efforts from identification through closure, including tracking deficiencies and verifying corrective actions. You will support on-scene safety functions and formal mishap investigations by identifying contributing factors and assisting in the development of effective corrective action recommendations. You will prepare and deliver formal classroom instruction, hands-on training, and safety briefings. Education In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education, as follows: Specialized experience may be substituted with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene) or a degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study form among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health,
