About this role

MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I Multiple Locations Summary You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Refit Facility Bangor and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: if you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A. Duties You will direct personnel in troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and installing marine engines and other equipment, such as propulsion machinery auxiliary generators, pumps, compressor, and fire fighting machinery on vessels. You will coordinate with contractor technical representative personnel when assigned to perform troubleshooting, analysis, and/or repairs. You will provide direction to workers by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group; ensuring proper work methods; and seeing to it that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available. You will determine performance of a satisfactory amount and quality of work and review products for acceptability. You will actively support and promote all aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program.
