About this role

MACHINIST Naval Air Station San Diego, California Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. Duties You will set up and perform machining operations on conventional and NC Machine Tools. You will manufacture, repair, and rebuild parts and items of equipment from raw stock of different metals and metal alloys. You will utilize precision measuring instruments to maintain dimensions and tolerances, fits and finishes in processing work. You will set up CNC machines using proper tooling components, optical tool setter, gage blocks, micrometers, etc. You will maintain accuracy in accordance with requirements of blueprints, drawings and sketches, work documents, aircraft technical documents, manuals, bulletins, and directives.
