About this role
INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST Naples, Italy Summary You will serve as a Industrial Hygienist in the Chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery of US NMRTC NAPLES IT, Italy. Duties You will lead facility or catastrophe investigations to identify necessary measures for the containment of hazardous material (HAZMAT). You will review reports, data collected, and survey results to identify potential problems. You will prepare industrial hygiene survey findings reports for the control of hazardous conditions. You will lead program management initiatives to commands on industrial hygiene and occupational toxicology procedures. Education Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: A bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or related science; or A bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering, physical science, or life science that included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combination of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostatistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene; or Certification from the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (formerly American Board of Industrial Hygiene(external link) (ABIH)). Courses in the history or teaching of chemistry are not acceptable.
