About this role
FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST Kaneohe, Hawaii Summary You will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Facilities Department of the Marine Corps Base Hawaii. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Duties You will Assist the Camp Smith Facilities Manager with the management and coordination of the maintenance and repair program for MCBH Leeward facilities. You will be responsible for management of maintenance service contracts and serving as the Camp Smith Facilities Department purchase card program coordinator. You will inspect, make recommendations, prepare scope of work, cost estimates, and take action to repair and maintain facilities and grounds. You will serve as the MCHB DOD E-Mall Purchase Coordinator and the Camp Smith Facilities Commercial Purchase Card Program Coordinator. You will participate in the Government or similar programs purchasing material and services using credit cards, SAIC, DOD E-MAILL, or any other appropriate means. You will review maintenance service contracts ie., grounds keeping, refuse, elevator, etc., plans and specifications for new contracts, contract renewal or modification of existing contracts. You will participate with NAVFAC HI Acquisition Team and other NAVFAC representatives to develop detailed service requirements and plan for the service acquisition. You will evaluate requests for contract modifications and determine feasibility or requests and whether they are in the govenmnets' best interest. Education You may also qualify based on education as follows: successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. successfully completed three full years of progressively higher
