ENGINEER/SCIENTIST Dahlgren, Virginia Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Duties You will execute and support efforts associated with systems engineering and integration, software design and development, software management, software testing, and software certification for fire control and fire direction systems. You will assist in the development of requirements and design of software for gun and/or other launcher weapon systems integrated with air, land and sea platforms. You will support execution of system engineering best practices for requirements definition and decomposition, design and implementation of customer and end-user requirements. You will support assessment of operational performance criteria and provide input for improving performance. You will perform software design, development, coding, testing, and integration tasks across various weapon systems baselines of software products, while considering agile/scrum, systems engineering, software assurance, and testing best practices. Education Applicants must meet at least one of the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Professional Engineering Series (08XX) - Degree: A professional engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college or university; OR a degree with curriculum in differential and integral calculus, with additional courses in five of the
