About this role

DATA SCIENTIST Patuxent River, Maryland Summary You will serve as a Data Scientist in the Analytics Group, Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) in Patuxent River, Maryland. Duties You will design and maintain robust pipelines that extract, transform and load (ETL/ELT) data from various sources into data warehouses, data lakes, or other storage systems. You will work with analytics product and service teams to identify new data stream requirements to support analysis and machine learning products. You will build analytic tools to monitor and provide decision support for optimal storage, access, and data flow strategies. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess ???: Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. or Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
