About this role
CYP Program Specialist (Inspectors) Millington, Tennessee Summary This position is the Children and Youth Program Specialist, for Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC), and Family Readiness Programs. The purpose of the Children and Youth Program Specialist is to assist the Program Manager to initiate, plan, coordinate, and administer Child and Youth Programs (CYP) throughout the Navy. Duties Duties include but not limited to: Conducts internal reviews/assist visits/inspections/spot checks of Navy CYP programs for children, youth and teens, including but not limited to full and part day childcare, before and after school care, resource and referral, summer day camps, teen activities and programs, sports programs, social events for youth of all ages, special events, citizenship, and volunteer activities, youth development and leadership opportunities. Analyzes and evaluate data and forms conclusions and recommendations for corrective actions. This includes but is not limited to the audit readiness and accuracy of information in CYP Authoritative system(s). Serves as a subject matter expert on matters affecting children, youth and teens. Provides technical assistance, policy interpretation and consultation service on programming to include facility operation, staffing and operational requirements. Conducts internal reviews/assist visits/inspections/spot checks to analyze and evaluate data and form conclusions and recommendations for corrective actions. This includes but is not limited to the audit readiness and accuracy of information in CYP Authoritative system(s).
