About this role

ASSISTANT PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT Multiple Locations Summary You will serve as an ASSISTANT PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY to include work sites of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC. For example: If you are within UIC 4523A, you will only be considered for positions within 4523A. Duties You will determine long and short-range needs for resources such as manpower, materials, equipment and staff support. You will conduct meetings or briefings to ensure flow of information regarding production schedule, cost effectiveness, or material issues. You will direct production efforts committed to the sequencing of ship overhaul or repair projects. You will manage material or labor costs during the production phase to ensure proper execution of shipboard projects. You will develop short and long-range plans to provide manning, material, and equipment to support ship overhaul or repair projects. You will identify manning priorities and distribute personnel assignments accordingly. Evaluation The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze.
