AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC Naval Air Station Key West, Florida Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Duties You will overhaul heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and components in structures that have special requirements and sensitive equipment. You will use principles and theories of air conditioning and refrigeration (e.g., refrigeration cycle, heat transfer laws, refrigerant tables) to maintain heating and cooling systems. You will test refrigerant controls, thermostats, thermostatic and automatic expansion valves, float valves, and capillary tubes for leaks using testing methods and equipment.
