Food Service Worker Fort Yates, North Dakota Summary This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, District 1-Standing Rock Detention in Fort Yates, North Dakota. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until 07/15/2026. The initial cut-off for referral of eligible applications will be 04/24/2026 followed by eligible applications received after that date will be referred every two weeks as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Duties As Food Service Worker, WG-7408, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Set trays in tray assembly line. Sets-up cups, utensils, condiments, and hot and cold beverages on trays according to standard practice. Loads and pushes tray cart to designated area. Follows established procedures and standards on in assisting the cook in cooking meals according to the menu and portion sizes. Practices good health responsibilities in the kitchen by using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanitation practices. Maintains dish machine, sets-up, operates, breaks-down and cleans dish machine, pot washers, tray conveyors, refrigerators, freezers or other comparable equipment or appliances. Follows standard practices to rotate inventory promoting first-in/first-out issue. Moves covered and stored food for easy access. stores food according to standard practice. Cleans work tables, facilities or bathrooms as scheduled or when assigned. As scheduled or assigned, cleans toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, etc. adheres appropriate sanitation standards.
