Emergency Management Specialist Sacramento, California Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Emergency Management Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Sacramento, California This is not a remote position. Duties The primary duties of this position are: Manages and conducts Emergency Management activities in coordination with offices within the CGB Region by utilizing emergency management concepts and tools based on the Incident Command System, National Incident Management System, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), Federal Continuity Directives, BOR Directives and Standards, and other Federal guidelines and standards. Provides technical guidance and oversight on region-wide emergency management programs, plans, procedures, and activities, and maintains compliance with Bureau directives and standards. Utilizes the Incident Command System, National Incident Management System (NIMS), Federal Continuity and guidelines, and Bureau Directives and Standards in planning and preparing for all-hazard incidents. Provides guidance and oversight on regional emergency management programs, plans, and procedures, ensuring readiness capabilities and compliance with Bureau directives and standards; participates in Bureau emergency management policy and program working groups; and conducts training on emergency action planning, continuity planning, incident notifications, and use of the Department of Interior (DOI) emergency notification system. Develops and conducts drills, seminars, and emergency exercises in coordination with Area Offices and agency partners to strengthen preparedness capabilities and interagency coordination during incidents.
