Chief, Division of Budget and Program Review Washington, District of Columbia Summary The Department of the Interior is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Senior Executive Service (SES) position of Chief, Division of Budget and Program Review, located in Washington, DC. The Department structures its SES positions into categories to determine the minimum pay for each position. This is a category 5 position. The minimum pay for this position is $151,200. Veterans preference does not apply to the SES. Duties The incumbent carries out the following specific responsibilities: 1. The Chief, Division of Budget and Program Review (Chief), is responsible for budgetary analysis, development of recommendations, and implementation of approved budget changes supporting Departmental objectives. In this role the incumbent advises the Budget Director on budgetary requirements, long and short-term analyses, and application of the Administration's budgetary policies. The incumbent directs and coordinates the responsibility of the Division for budget examination, analysis and related activities. 2. The Chief, is consistent with direction from the Director, provides policy guidance and technical advice to bureaus and offices on budget submissions, supplementary budget requests, reprogramming of funds, anti-deficiency act violations, and budgetary analyses in order to ensure the proper presentation of facts and data to support requests and consistency with the Administration's budgetary policies. 3. The Chief, is responsible for comprehensive review of cross-cutting programs designed to examine objectives and policies; evaluate performance, costs, and staffing; and develop options, suggestions, and recommendations for redirection, performance improvement, and improved efficiency as appropriate and in
