About this role
Transportation Systems Analyst Scott AFB, Illinois Summary About the Position: Participates as a member of a team tasked with the design, development, testing and management of automation projects mandated by the Deputy Secretary of Defense. Duties Develop specific plans, schedules and procedures to be applied in the development and management of an automated transportation management program. Coordinate and work with persons from other organizations to formulate detailed requirements, and reviews, discusses and defines methods of automation support for those requirements. Develop and coordinate test plans and procedures. Prepare correspondence for signature by higher authority that tasks various agencies to support program goals. Prepare program progress to chart and brief management of program status. Recommend changes and improvements in program and policy directives and conduct discussions with industry, and affected agencies on program and policy changes as it pertains to the development of the system. Coordinate, monitor and record the results of functional testing events; oversee system requirement reviews that analyzes and evaluate proposed system changes request and new capabilities. Provide analysis and interpretation of rules and regulations governing the transportation of DOD freight. Education Some Federal positions allow for the substitution of education for required specialized experience. For this position you must qualify based on your experience alone.
