TITLE 32 IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) (MI G6) Lansing, Michigan Summary THIS IS AN ARMY NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32 IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) (MI G6), Position Description Number NGD1585P01 and is part of the MI JFHQ Army, Michigan Army National Guard. MICHIGAN ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Duties ***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located in an information management organization. The purpose of the position is to serve as the principle manager responsible for digital communications services planning, resource, policy and standards development for the entire enterprise infrastructure. This position directly coordinates with the C4 work centers, local telephone companies, long distance service providers and other vendors as required. The communications services supported extend beyond the traditional telephony systems, often referred to as plain old telephone systems (POTS). The communications systems involve state-of-the-art digital communications technology, such as voice over frame (VOF) and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) systems. --Responsible for providing expert technical advice and guidance on critical digital communications issues to ensure the integration of C4 programs and services and to solve integration and interoperability issues. --Understands and provides input to the development and implementation of bandwidth configuration plans for complex Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with supported elements
