About this role

Recreation Specialist (Outdoor Recreation) NF-03 Fort Wainwright, Alaska Summary This position is located at Fort Wainwright Outdoor Recreation. Incentives and Bonuses Up to 25% recruitment or relocation and/or retention incentive may be paid (service agreement required). Recruitment incentives are applicable to newly hired individuals/rehired individuals. Relocation incentives are applicable to current NAF employees who have accepted a Regular Full-Time (RFT) in a different geographical location with no break in service. Duties Plans, schedules, organizes and implements outdoor activities to include but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, trips, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing and overnight recreational trips. Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment. Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas. Prepares standard operating procedures. May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5- year plan.
