About this role

REALTY SPECIALIST Sacramento, California Summary About the Position: You will perform realty specialist tasks and transactions such as acquisition by lease including long-term leases, or leases that deviate from standard; acquisition of property interests up to fee simple; independently conduct compliance inspections and inventory activities; dispose and transfer property out of federal or agency ownership; and prepare documents, records research, and data management to support those activities. Duties At the GS-09 grade level, the duties are developmental in nature leading to the full performance level of GS-1170-11. The duties are described at the GS-11 level. You will acquire property or space, or provide guidance to other agencies, or state and local governments on such matters as the acquisition of property or space; and relocation of property and business owners. Exercise eminent domain procedures; difficult negotiations; and/or unfamiliar state or local governments. Manage Federally controlled property. Lease space to non-Federal entities and manage such leases. Authorize the use of Federal land to individuals or organizations for commercial, recreational or various other purposes after ascertaining that the proposed use is compatible with, or furthers, the Corps' civil works mission. Work with project and installations managers to determine the best method by which to achieve the maximum value for non-Federal use of Corps' managed properties. Manage natural resources located on civil works projects and military installations, including forestry, sand and gravel, and agricultural land.
