About this role
Realty Officer West Point, New York Summary About the Position: Incumbent shall serve as the senior technical expert in all matters related to the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of real property at the United States Military Academy (USMA), a designated Direct Reporting Unit (DRU). Duties include real property management, real estate transactions, and space management. Duties Incumbent is responsible for program direction, planning, management, and administration of the real property inventory. Carry out a variety of work assignments, prepare budget estimates, administration of real property contracts, and management and administration of computer-based real property inventory. Resolve complex, unique, and routine realty problems associated with the United States Military Academy. Direct and manage the technical preparation and update of the real property inventory. Ensure that the acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, revitalization, diversion, layaway, privatization, and disposal of real property assets are undertaken in accordance with applicable real property laws and regulations. Respond to inquiries from Federal, State, and local governments, private sector, and the general public. Prepare Installation real property responses to Congressional or Senate inquiries. Direct the classification and analysis of real property to obtain its optional use. Ensure compliance with space utilization guidelines and consistency with the efficient and effective use of space at the United States Military Academy.
