PROGRAM ANALYST (TITLE 5) Springfield, Illinois Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM ANALYST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T511500 and is part of the IL CFMO, National Guard. Duties As a PROGRAM ANALYST (TITLE 5), GS-0343-9, you will plan, analyze and/ or evaluate the effectiveness of line or operating programs. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Analyze evaluation results on both a quantitative and qualitative basis to provide concise and objective information to identify accountability strengths and weaknesses. Review reports and studies to ensure that user requirements are met and appropriate rules and regulations are utilized. Develop and administer a system of reviews, management controls, evaluations, and checklists designed to ensure conformance with law and regulations. Independently evaluates the effectiveness of substantive unit programs and processes in meeting their established goals and objectives. Plan, coordinate, and carry out the successive steps in fact-finding and analysis of issues necessary to complete each phase of assigned projects. Evaluate unit and organizational effectiveness. Identify problems, review production standards, and make tentative recommendations for problem resolution. Develop recommendations to correct deficiencies or suggest program or process improvements for the organization. Note deficiencies, identify necessary resources, and recommend corrective action. Conduct studies of work processes and procedures. Assist in the development of directives and the design, development, documentation, and implementation of various reporting systems.
