About this role

Physical Security Specialist Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington Summary About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Emergency Services, Police/Provost Marshall Division located on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Duties Serve as primary action officer for developing, managing, validating and providing recommendations to Chief, Security and Access Control Division in matters pertaining to Weapons System Security and security of other US Air Force assets at JBLM. Manage the Security Program for the McChord Field Flight line which ensures that individuals requiring flight line access have been vetted and issued the appropriate clearance badges. Serve as Physical Security Section point of contact to the 627th Security Forces Squadron Commander for policy and long range Physical Security planning. Monitors security programs, judges adequacy and advises security officers and commanders of state-of-the art methods to cope with threats and vulnerabilities. Plan analysis and development of new physical security techniques, procedures and policy for a wide variety of security applications. Responsible for developing and coordinating input to force protection plans. Identify conflicts between Army and United States Air Force Security requirements/regulations during inspections of United States Air Force units. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
