About this role

Pest Controller Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington Summary About the Position: Inspects, locates, determines nature and scope of infestation and exterminates a wide variety of pests in order to eliminate and control hazards to structures, public health, stored products and vegetation. Duties Determine the scope of infestation and exterminates a wide variety of insect and animal pests. Follow written instructions on labels and apply formulas in order to mix chemicals to proper strength. Ability to determine proper amounts of chemicals to be mixed based on the size of the area to be treated. Utilize equipment such as power and gas operated sprayers, dusters, ultra-low volume and tractor sprayers. Follow Federal and State requirements relating to pesticide and herbicide use and safety standards.
