About this role

Motor Vehicle Operator (CYS) NA-06 Redstone Arsenal, Alabama Summary This position is with Child and Youth Services at the Redstone Arsenal. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: At least 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Duties Develops and follows efficient, consistent and safe bus routes for routine trips (e.g., to and from school) to minimize transportation time. Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips. Practices bus evacuation following prescribed procedures with children and youth on a monthly basis. Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change) transporting the bus to and from maintenance facilities. Completes a comprehensive written inspection of the bus daily, reporting any concerns to the supervisor before transporting children/youth. Education To be found eligible, proof of education must be submitted with the application along with a copy of a current valid driver's license. Acceptable documents for proof of education are a high school diploma, a high school transcript (showing the graduation date), a GED certificate, a college transcript listing courses that were taken, or proof of a college degree.
