Mobile Vehicle Operator Fort Jackson, South Carolina Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 81st Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site 125, Storage Branch located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Duties Operate vehicles on and off public highways and paved roads Operate a variety of diesel powered equipment Operate various types of forklifts up to 50,000 pound capacity Drive oversized engineer equipment which may be oversized or overweight Perform operator maintenance on motorized vehicles Service vehicle braking systems and lights Take and prepare oil samples for the Army Oil Analysis Program Recognize Defective or malfunctioning parts of a motor vehicle Ensure load weights are secured and weights are properly distributed Read and interpret regulations and technical publications Review Specifications of vehicles for load capacity Receive incoming warehouse items and equipment Check items for damage or serviceability Prepare various documents and warehousing reports Load and unload equipment on trucks for shipment Evaluation Once the announcement has closed, a review of your application package (resume, supporting documents, and responses to the questionnaire) will be used to determine whether you meet the qualification requirements listed on this announcement.
