IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION)-TITLE 32 Frankfort, Kentucky Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION)-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2489P01 and is part of the KY DCSOPS, National Guard. ***NOTE: Indefinite employment is temporary and is expected to last more than one year but no more than five consecutive years. This appointment will not exceed 01 JUN 2029 and will not be extended without further competition. Duties As an IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION)-TITLE 32, GS-2210-11, you will analyze requirements, monitor performance, resolve problems, and develop recovery procedures. Install, configure, and maintain servers and server resources. Install and upgrade operating systems and software packages IAW Army standards. Develop and maintain database of hardware and software configurations. Conduct hardware and software audits and maintain system configurations. Monitor and manage the performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability of installed servers and server resources. Implement security procedures and tools. Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems, and ensure server functionality, integrity, and efficiency. Resolve inquiries and problems concerning access, use, and availability of datacenter technologies. Provide technical assistance and training to users minimizing disruptions of computer operations. Analyze, evaluate, and resolve malfunctions by adjusting equipment configurations, realigning port allocations, and recommending appropriate acquisitions. Document program purposes, methods, assumptions, and conclusions. Lead or participate in on-site surveys and/or review program information to determine status of the function and quality of services.
