About this role

INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST Multiple Locations Summary About the Position: This is a Industrial Hygienist, GS-0690-13 position with the USACE Little Rock District, Safety & Occupational Health Office. Selectee may be place in either Little Rock, Arkansas OR Louisville, Kentucky. Duties You will serve as a technical expert and authority for industrial hygiene involving hazardous or toxic materials. You will serve as the safety technical advisor on accidents requiring a Board of Investigation. You will evaluate the effectiveness of the contractor's safety and occupational health program. You will ensure legal compliance with applicable safety and occupational health and environmental laws. You will develop and conduct training courses and presentations for both employees within and outside the organization. You will represent organization as a member of professional committees, boards, and panels dealing with occupational health matters and the application of federal health standards. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
