Acts in developing and directing policies and planning, integrating and coordinating execution of all functional areas to include the organizational oversight of USAWHC's contracting mission. Responsible for readiness of the force, to include personnel, equipment, equipment serviceability, supplies, logistics automation, maintenance programs, controlling and managing the modified table of organization and equipment (MTOE) documentation processes, new logistics initiatives/concepts, disposal of equipment and sources equipment requirements. Participates in the formative stages of management to encompass logistics objectives and supportability, reliability, and maintainability, as well as cost effectiveness. As USAWHC's leading expert and foremost authority in these areas, incumbent formulates policy, devises basic concepts for sustained high-level mission capable readiness of materiel and equipment at best value and works to improve the overall Army logistic support system.
