Duties Duties for this position typically include : Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Provides administrative and policy direction in terms of broadly defined missions and/or functions of the Environmental Management Directorate. Incumbent independently defines objectives, interprets disseminated polices, and determines effect on environmental program needs, plans, and designs. Provides strategic guidance, develops policy, manages resources, and coordinates with major commands, regulatory agencies, and mission partners to support readiness while safeguarding environmental stewardship. Builds, sustains, and leverages strategic partnerships to enable mission support objectives. Interacts with federal land managers, legislators, and governor's staff at the local, states, and national levels.
