About this role

Recreation Equipment Repairer Fort Richardson, Alaska Summary About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moose Run Golf Course on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Applications are open to ages 18 and older. This is a Seasonal position Not-To-Exceed 31-OCT-2026. This position is Flexible, meaning you are guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Your schedule will depend on needs of the facility Duties Performs repair work on a variety of equipment including gas powered rental golf cars, gang mowers, greens mowers, and other mechanical equipment utilized in the daily operation and maintenance of a golf course. Performs minor engine repairs by cleaning, adjusting, and/or replacing defective parts, of components and systems including wheel cylinders, mufflers, brake shoes, carburetors, etc. Performs minor electric or gas welding tasks as required. Under indirect supervision of the Automotive Mechanic Supervisor (NS-10) and the Golf Course Superintendent, performs service on small engines, both gasoline and diesel powered. Working under indirect supervision, performs minor repairs on hydrostatic drive systems to include service, testing, and adjusting as required. Determines requirements and orders necessary parts, tools and other repair equipment through the Automotive Mechanic Supervisor (NS-10) and Golf Course Superintendent. Maintains maintenance records on all equipment to include man-hours, materials, preventive maintenance requirements and data of repairs. Determines supplies and parts needed for maintenance and repair of all small engines and equipment. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe shop using prescribed safety,
