PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) McConnell AFB, Kansas Summary This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position, in conjunction with the Production Superintendent (Pro Super), to assign priorities to aircraft production efforts, to direct action to resolve resource shortages, to maintain liaison among aircraft maintenance management, and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Duties: 1: Provides both present and projected status information to prescribed managerial personnel. Conducts training and skill level progression of Air Force Reservists. 2: Notes projected completion date, studies actual aircraft status and informs higher levels within chain of command when aircraft is to be mission ready. 3: Through use of radio, telephone, intercom, e-mail, personal contact with production supervisors, technicians, review work documents and statistical listings, determines status of aircraft. 4: As daily events occur, maintain MIS data integrity regarding maintenance flying schedule requirements. Works to achieve and support quality improvements in assigned areas of responsibility. 5: Accomplishes aircraft debriefing to ensure malfunctions identified by aircrews are properly reported and documented.
