ITSPEC (SYSADMIN) (TITLE 32) Tyndall AFB, Florida Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ITSPEC (SYSADMIN) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1618P01 and is part of the FL HQ 101 AOG, National Guard. Duties As a IT Specialist (SYSADMIN), GS-2210-07/09/11, you will develop, modify, and test overall system backup and recovery strategies for assigned systems. Serve as a technical focal point for the installation and configuration of hardware and software on personal computers and for personal data assistants associated with assigned systems. Serve as a systems administrator responsible for planning, coordinating, modifying, implementing, and troubleshooting in order to meet customer needs. Serve as a technical focal point on multiple operating systems and computer platforms. Provide technical assistance and advice to personnel involved in system design, programming, database design, and modifying commercially developed software. Analyze, evaluate, and recommend hardware/software changes to various computer systems. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS09- Successful completion of a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. GS11- Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeor3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology
