INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) Ramstein, Germany Summary Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a senior systems administrator with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. Duties DUTY 1: Performs services as a Senior JWICS Systems Administrator. Plans, coordinates, and installs applications software and hardware for operating systems. DUTY 2: Serves as a Senior Technical Advisor to management. As a senior systems administrator, participates in the preparation of system upgrades and synchronization for USAFE. DUTY 3: Keeps abreast of emerging technology to predict future system architecture. Maintains awareness of emerging information technology, cybersecurity, and systems administration trends relevant to classified intelligence environments to anticipate future AFSCI system architecture, capacity, and performance requirements. DUTY 4: Establishes Plans of Action (POAs) for improving the efficiency of IT applications. Evaluates existing systems and capabilities and initiates feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses to determine ways and means necessary to enhance mission performance.
