The primary purpose of this position is to install, maintain, repair, and modify small and large/complex heating (includes heating boilers and single and multiple fuel power boilers), ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. Duties - Performs pretest, operational (functional), and final testing; final tuning; alignment; and/or calibration of highly complex Direct Digital Controls (DDC) electronic systems, industrial electronic controls, pneumatic components, Hydraulic loading equipment, and/or subassemblies and Preventative Maintenance (PM). Plans and lays out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders for large complex commercial and industrial systems and supporting equipment used to condition air in warehouses, hangers, and large office buildings and mission critical assets. - Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and supporting equipment for different kinds of structures such as large office buildings, warehouses, hangars, communication center, link training rooms, and other areas with sensitive equipment with complex problems and extensive repairs requiring judgment to locate malfunctions. Systems include those with a variety of compressors, finite air conditioning equipment cooling for training devices, and a variety of refrigerant controls. - Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.
