About this role

Bartender MacDill AFB, Florida Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Food and Beverage Facilities for 6 Force Support Squadron. Requires frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying of objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10 to 20 pound" and occasionally lifting up to and over 40 pounds. Heavier objects such as beer kegs are usually transported with the aid of a dolly. . Duties Operates limited-service bars. Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Serves beer. soda and wine. Serves patrons directly or delivers to waiter. Receives food orders from patrons and relays order to kitchen or serves item, if prepackaged. Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter. Sets up bar for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clean and replenishes items as necessary. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Stocks service bars and assists higher-level lead/supervisor as required. May unload and inspect items from delivery trucks. Also. may perform heavy duty cleaning tasks such as under and behind refrigerators, under and behind bar equipment or table areas; washing floors and walls, walk-in refrigerators and freezers; and sanitizing garbage cans. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. Maintains health, safety and sanitation IAW established standards. 4.
