Whiskey Ambassador Wanship, Utah Job Description Distillery Tours Lead scheduled and private tours of High West's distillery and production areas, covering history, raw ingredients, fermentation, distillation, and maturation. Explain High West's blending philosophy and what distinguishes our whiskeys in the broader American whiskey category. Navigate guests through multiple spaces and tasting rooms with confidence and situational awareness. Whiskey Tastings Facilitate structured flight tastings, guiding guests through nosing and palate evaluation in an approachable, non-intimidating way. Lead off-premise tastings and event tasting stations as needed, representing the brand professionally in external settings. Tailor the depth and language of each tasting to the audience - adjusting for novice or experienced guests without losing accuracy. Brand Knowledge & Education Maintain current, accurate knowledge of all High West products, including tasting profiles, production methods, and release context. Know the history of all three High West venues and speak to each with specificity and enthusiasm. Stay informed on broader whiskey category developments to credibly answer guest questions and drive genuine engagement. Operations & Flexibility Operate within the daily schedule set by the Tour and Trade Supervisor, supporting varied responsibilities as guest volume and events require. Support sales of High West products by creating authentic purchase motivation through genuine enthusiasm and knowledge. Maintain all tour and tasting areas to brand standards before, during, and after each experience. Available to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
