This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC (F-22), Position Description Number D0021000 and is part of the HI 154 MXS, National Guard. LOCATION: 154th Maintenance Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii Duties SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose of this position is to perform on and off equipment maintenance on aircraft egress systems, such as aircraft ejection seats, extraction and escape systems, and egress components of jettison canopies, explosive components of escape hatches and doors, and egress trainers. The incumbent is also responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification and servicing of air munitions and related systems associated with reconnaissance aircraft. These include breech blocks for launching, photo flash cartridges, Aero 27A Bomb racks, drop tank cartridges, engine starters, ejection seat gas initiators, ejection seat rocket meters, etc. Troubleshoots, installs, removes, repairs, modifies, adjusts, inspects, and tests such components as regulators, flow indicators, actuator motors, thruster and positioning mechanisms, seat actuators, catapult guide rails, ejection seats, rocket packs, and canopies, etc. Inspects pressurization system air pressure gauges for sufficient pressure and bottles and regulators for general condition and serviceability. Performs installation, modification, and repair of aircraft egress systems. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair, modification and periodic servicing of air munitions and munitions systems applicable to reconnaissance aircraft. Schedules periodic maintenance of aircraft munitions systems when notified by Maintenance Control of inspections due. Loads
