About this role
Criminal Investigator Multiple Locations Summary These positions are located in multiple field offices throughout the U.S. reporting to the Office of Field Office Management, Domestic Operations Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/DO/FLD). FLD is responsible for managing and coordinating processes and policies related to the overall management of the domestic field and resident offices throughout the U.S. For more information about the Bureau, visit: DS Duties Coordinates sensitive investigative activities with other Federal, State and local enforcement agencies as necessary. Plans, collects, evaluates, and analyzes criminal intelligence data that encompasses a worldwide area of investigative responsibility. Conducts a wide range of database analyses to detect crime trends, predict potential criminal activity and targets, and compile statistical data for planning the most effective use of investigative resources. Prepares criminal affidavits and complaints as well as executes search and arrest warrants and federal grand jury subpoenas. Reviews and prepares reports of investigations and criminal intelligence reports detailing contributing cause of cases and recommendations to prevent similar future occurrences. Education Education requirements do not apply to this vacancy announcement.
