Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Information Technology Division Washington, District of Columbia Summary This position is located in the Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General in Washington, DC and reports to the Assistant Inspector General for the Information Technology Division (ITD). The Deputy Assistant Inspector General (DAIG) for ITD serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) and manages the ITD. Efforts support the OIG workforce, and the OIG's programs and operations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. Duties The Deputy Assistant Inspector General (DAIG) for Information Technology Division is a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), and as such, the DAIG shares the responsibility with the AIG for exercising executive leadership, direction, and management of the ITD, and direct supervision over the Directors. Additionally, the DAIG - Directs a diverse staff of IT and Cybersecurity Specialists. Directs a nationwide program encompassing operations in Headquarters and the field throughout the United States. The DAIG, together with the AIG, is responsible for the strategic planning and management of the OIG-wide IT program, developing and deploying cutting-edge government-wide, department-wide and OIG-specific information technology programs with competing requirements, timeframes and outcomes. Supports the AIG in developing the vision, strategies, and priorities for short and long-range goals, initiatives, and roadmaps in consultation with senior leadership and technology experts and manages efforts through GS-15 supervisors to achieve those goals and complete initiatives.
