Supply Technician Saint Louis, Missouri Summary This vacancy is for a GS-2005-7, Supply Technician located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE NEW ORLEANS in NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana. Duties You will serve as a Supply Technician and be responsible for performing and/or arranging divisional supply control and support at both the Industrial facility and for the TAD industrial repair teams. Additionally, this position will maintain an inventory of Aids to Navigation (ATON) stock to support cutters and distribute as directed. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Initiating, preparing, editing, and processing requisitions to stock.. Conducting regular, physical inventories of material stocked. Operating computer terminals for record-keeping, data input and corrections, and shipping coordination. Overseeing stock maintenance, conducting physical inventories, receiving and screening documents/lists for receipt verification; initiating, preparing, editing and processing requisitions to stock; searching catalogs Performing all facets of inventory control.
