Mariner Evaluation Clerk Martinsburg, West Virginia Summary This vacancy is for a GS - 0963 - 5, Mariner Evaluation Clerk located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, NMC APPLICATION IN-PROCESSING SECTION II in MARTINSBURG, West Virginia. Duties You will serve as a Mariner Evaluation Clerk and be responsible for providing guidance and customer support to the Regional Exam Center Operations Division at the NMC. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assists in the review of merchant mariner credential applications Prepares written and oral replies to maritime organizations and the general public concerning all aspects of credentialing maritime personnel Recommends process improvements to improve the credentialing program Assists in reviewing contradictions, conflicts and inconsistencies in documentation submitted in support of a merchant mariner credential application Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Requests: If you believe you have a disability (i.e., physical or mental), covered by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended that would interfere with completing the USA Hire Competency Based Assessments, you will be granted the opportunity to request a RA in your online application.
