Housing Management Assistant San Diego, California Summary This vacancy is for a GS-1173-7, Housing Management Assistant located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SECTOR SAN DIEGO ADMIN/PERSONNEL DIVISION in SAN DIEGO, California. Duties You will serve as a Housing Management Assistant and be responsible for a variety of assignments related to contracting, occupancy, maintaining and termination activities of government owned or leased family and single housing at the assigned locality. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Receives and processes applicants for permanent and temporary quarters. Determines family and housing eligibility and requirements of applicants. Conducts or coordinates joint tenant and management inspections of family and quarters to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance and habitability of the unit, furnishing, equipment, and facilities. Resolving a variety of housing problems by assembling facts and evaluating information on a multitude of issues. Submitting work order requests as necessary and coordinates for repairs and improvements.
