Health Systems Specialist Norfolk, Virginia Summary This vacancy is for a GS-0671-13, Health Systems Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, HSWL MEDICAL ADMINISTRATION DIVISION in NORFOLK, Virginia. Duties You will serve as a Health Systems Specialist and be responsible for supporting new and established projects, programs, and systems that enhance health care delivery. This position is located at a higher echelon within the organization and coordinates activities and actions in direct support of more than 100 detached health care operating facilities.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Pull data and develop reports to inform leadership decision-making. Apply health informatics management to analyze data and make recommendations to leadership on health care resource allocation. Monitor healthcare program performance by using analytics to inform Coast Guard Leadership. Utilize healthcare cost recovery systems to ensure federal compliance at Coast Guard healthcare facilities. Demonstrate administrative ability to develop and deliver presentations that clearly communicate healthcare analytics to a wide range of stakeholders.
