Field Office Director Multiple Locations Summary This vacancy announcement will be used to fill Senior Executive Service, Field Officer Director positions in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations at specific location in the field. Management retains the authority to make selection decisions that serve the needs of the agency based on location preference and available talent. Duties Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protects the homeland through the arrest and removal of individuals who undermine the safety of our communities and the integrity of our immigration laws. As part of its critical mission, ERO manages all aspects of the immigration enforcement process, including the identification, arrest, detention, and removal of aliens who are subject to removal or are unlawfully present in the United States. The Field Office Director (FOD) ensures that ERO field office resources and expertise are effectively deployed to locate and arrest fugitive aliens, detain certain aliens while their cases are being processed, and remove aliens from the United States when so ordered. The FOD exercises broad delegated authority in managing, directing, advocating, and implementing all aspects of an ERO field office, including all criminal and civil immigration law enforcement and administrative operations, in support of ICE's and ERO's strategic goals and objectives, and the overall ICE mission. The field office's area of responsibility may include several states or a large geographical area.
