Mathematical Statistician Rockville, Maryland Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. Duties As a Mathematical Statistician, you will be: Providing authoritative technical input into the design and development of primary data collection effort and research with administrative data. Developing a research agenda related to improvements in the efficiency of data collection processes and the quality of data produced using substantive research tools from the fields of statistics, demography, economics, and survey research methods. Disseminating research findings through presentations at conferences, peer-reviewed journal publications, and innovative visualizations. Providing substantive technical expertise on statistical, economic, and statistical modeling to other units within the division and bureau as well as other governmental units. Provides authoritative technical advice and contributes substantively to the solution of analytical empirical problems for which others have immediate responsibility, including oversight for research conducted by junior employees in the division.
