Quality Assurance Specialist Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii Summary About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management Logistics Supply Chain Management, Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices. Duties Investigates medical materiel complaints and product defects. Analyzes quality data to identify specific problem areas, documents defective conditions, and recommends corrective actions Conducts quality assurance surveillance of medical supplies, inspecting for expiration, damage, and proper rotation. Manages recalls, turn-ins, and dispositions of materiel. Manages the return process for unusable inventory. Responsible for receiving turned-in stock and obtaining necessary replacements or financial credit for expired medical materiel. Coordinates directly with the local Defense Health Agency (DHA) Environmental Service Officer (ESO) to execute the safe, compliant destruction of unusable medical supplies, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals. Coordinates the warehousing and lateral transfer of excess medical items with other units to minimize waste and optimize inventory utilization across the organization. Investigates and resolves customer medical supply complaints and issues. Submits Medical Materiel Complaints or Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) as required. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited
