Physicist (Diagnostic Radiology Medical) Travis AFB, California Summary About the Position: This position is located at Travis Air Force Base. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Duties Develop technician quality control testing of radiation producing, detecting, and measuring equipment. Manage the Radiology Department equipment quality control program. Maintain system documentation to verify compliance with regulatory body requirements. Analyze systemic problems to develop written reports consistent with legal or professional requirements for dissemination through command channels. Develop procurement specifications and site planning for high-cost medical equipment purchases. Develop new quantitative image analysis techniques and procedures in electronic image acquisition.
