Medical Records Technician (Tumor Registry) El Paso, Texas Summary About the Position:This position is located at Department of Surgery, William Beaumont Army Medical Center. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Duties Assist in compiling and maintaining a comprehensive database of all patients. Set up, organize, input, and maintain patient data to ensure compliance with tumor registry standard operating policies and procedures, and to meet the needs of the users of registry data. Perform and maintain quality assurance of case-finding, abstracting, staging, and coding of data and follow-up procedures. Assist in developing and implementing administrative procedures and processes necessary to audit, identify and review confirmed cancer diagnoses. Provide orientation of the Tumor Registry to health care providers, medical record students, new employees, and volunteers. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
