About this role

IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) Multiple Locations Summary This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA. Duties Install, configure, and maintain servers, software, and essential IT infrastructure actively. Focus on data security and availability by actively managing daily backups and recovery systems. Continuously monitor system health actively, interpreting a performance metrics, and taking immediate corrective actions when needed. Coordinate crucial software and hardware upgrades liaising with both internal teams and external vendors. Ensure the optimal design, deployment, and management of cloud resources across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Oversee, process and control provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based services, emphasizing scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness. Foster strong relationships with technology vendors to ensure top-tier support and products for the organization. Remain updated with the latest IT trends to identify and propose innovative solutions.
