About this role
Budget Technician Fort Sam Houston, Texas Summary About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Duties Execute purchases using the Government Purchase Card (GPC) or by initiating purchase requests, maintains purchase records, and provides monthly transaction reports to the budget analyst and funding activity. Responsible for managing budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY). Monitors performance compliance, and preparing monthly receiving reports to enable vendor payment. Assists in developing service contract requirements, justifications, independent cost estimates and market research for the department. Maintains all purchase requests submitted to finance, logistics, and contracting divisions. Maintains the department calendar of meetings and conferences, reviews incoming correspondence, identifies suspense requirements, and establishes suspense controls. Prepare routine forms and documentation, including contract requests, cost comparisons, independent government estimates, Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW) reviews, and market research. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
